THE GARDEN PIECES COLLECTION was a newly created art collection with the ten main pieces within The Genesis Collection (plus two bonus edition pieces “Garden Portal” and “Garden Night”) which happened spontaneously in 2023 towards the end of finishing minting the 1000 piece collection of the best of fifteen years of experimenting with digital fine art.

The Genesis Collection had found it’s end and these pieces reflect and represent the ending of that decade-and-a-half art era. Most pieces in the main collection featured many nostalgic and dreamy “Showdeer-teal” backgrounds or psychedelic orange skies, where The Garden Pieces here, are the only ones to use a shade of off-blackish grey as the darker background to represent surreal and psychedelic gardens at night as a sort of commemoration and dreamy celebration of the entire Genesis Collection. A place and time of calm and reflection as there is at night instead of the chaos and overwhelming psychedelic nature of existence during the day.

Each piece of the 10-piece Garden Pieces collection showcases an idea pertaining to the senses and elements and experiences we have as humans in this existence and all of them together tell that story. The first piece, “Garden Gate” is the beginning and entrance into the world and story for the gardens at night. The second piece, “Garden Rose” shows the beauty of nature and life you can find within the gates. The third piece, titled; “Garden Skull”, (Collected by the most famous digital art collector, Cozomo Medici), is a memento mori and reminder to live and shows the dichotomy of life by finding there is also death here as well as a natural form. Fourth piece, “Garden Eye”, represents the knowledge one attains throughout life including these previous facts even though sorrow is also evident. “Garden Ear”, the fifth piece pertains to being able to listen to others to form a grounding and understanding on the earth. This piece was also obviously inspired and is a homage to Vincent Van Gogh. The beautiful sixth piece; “Garden Lips”, reminds us of love we find here and how important it is we appreciate and take care of it. It was also inspired by a song from, The Shins - “Kissing The Lipless”, from their fantastic and iconic 2003 album, “Chutes Too Narrow”. The seventh piece, “Garden Castle”, reminds us of the home we have created while here. This piece was inspired by the amazing and magical world of the Harry Potter films. “You’re a wizard Harry!”. The eight piece in the sub-collection is, “Garden Deer”, which was an uplifting piece for myself to remind myself beauty exists everywhere and I am powerful and able to create anything I want. And as a homage to my own path and career as a digital artist under the moniker “Showdeer”. The second to last piece, “Karso’s Garden”, was a part of the collector’s commission series I made for og collectors in my discord towards the end of minting the main collection. One of my collectors, Karso gave me personal items of his to include in the piece for him. The last and final piece in The Garden Pieces collection is, probably my favorite one, “Universal Garden”. Which is an accumulation of all of the previous nine Garden Pieces into one image. These last two pieces in the collection were also minted as editions so others could collect them. And the framed piece at top was created and also minted as an edition and gifted to collectors of The Garden Pieces. View and collect Editions Collection here. - As of December of 2024 two new Garden Pieces have been created- One is; “Garden Portal”, which is the first and only animated Garden Pieces artwork (a ten second long video and gif which is the longest animation I have created) which is a homage and celebration featuring all elements from the main ten Garden Pieces. And now also, “Garden Night” which is a rare moody alt version of the garden under moonlight. Both pieces you can view below and/or collect here in the Editions Collection.
